Nassau County Police investigators released a photo of a man who pointed a gun in the face at an employee at Subway on Franklin Avenue at approximately 8:10 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23.
Police said that the suspect pointed a small, dark handgun at a female customer and ordered her to the rear of the restaurant. He then pointed the gun at an employee and demanded cash from the register. He took cash and proceeded to flee the store on foot.
The suspect was described as an approximately 6-foot-2, 40- to 50-year-old man with an average build. At the time of the Subway robbery, he was wearing a black brimmed hat, gloves and a stocking over his face.
According to investigators, a suspect fitting the same description is also responsible for a robbery that happened on Sunday, Sept. 15 at the same Subway location.
